General Information

Accomodations:

Participants are requested to book and pay their travel tickets and hotel on their own.

With regards to the hotel, the conference organizers and the keynote speakers will stay at Motel One Berlin Ku’damm. Some more rooms are booked for the MACE Conference participants until December the 1^st. Recommendations for Hostels and Hotels in Berlin

Please try to book as soon as possible, due to the International Green Week there are a lot of people in Berlin during that time.

Those hostels and hotels are just recommendations. There is no guarantee concerning quality and prices!

Presentations and reviews:

For each contributed paper, we schedule 15-20 minutes for presentation and 10 minutes for discussion. Conference language will be English. Presenters are encouraged to use PowerPoint and send their files with presentations to mace2010@iamo.de prior to the first day of the conference so that they can be uploaded in advance.
Moreover, we expect participants to comment on the contribution of another conference participant in one of the parallel sessions. Commentator will have between 2 and 5 minutes to present their review of the paper (pros and cons, suggestions for improvements). The paper which will have to be reviewed will be sent to you by mid-December.

We are planning to make the papers being available on the conference web site. Please, kindly inform us if you disagree with this procedure. If you do not notify your disagreement, your paper will be accessible online.

To secure a spot in the conference program, please confirm your participation in the conference by sending a confirmation email to mace2010@iamo.de by November 23^rd 2009.
This year, each participant will be asked to discuss a paper of another presenter in the parallel-sessions. Consequently, we kindly ask you to provide the last version of your paper until December 7^th 2009.
Moreover, as in previous conferences, proceedings will be published. Papers programmed during the conference will go through a peer review process to be selected. Only papers will be considered for this review process, which have adhered to the formatting guidelines available on the MACE Conference web-site (http://www.mace-events.org/greenweek2010/conference.html).
If you have not already done it, please complete the online conference registration form as soon as possible via http://www.mace-events.org/greenweek2010/conference.html and arrange to pay the appropriate registration fee (for non funded participants).
In case you need to apply for a visa we will provide you with an official invitation letter. Please email us no later than November 23^rd 2009 the following data: (1) the full name and postal address of your institution, (2) your birth date, (3) your passport number, (4) your arrival and departure dates together with your confirmation of participation.
